Art of the Lobi

The Lobi tribe in Burkina Faso is one of the most interesting in Africa.

Not only that their belief in nature spirits and gods still exists today but also that they had and have an authentic, varied and very individual expression of their belief.

The individual artist in his work is much more present and clearly identifiable by his handwriting than in nearly all other tribes in the whole of the black continent.

When you add to this the strength and beauty of especially the older statues, you will understand our passion for the art of the Lobi.
